The innovative, original black comedy series SIDES, created by Natalie Beran, Grae Burton and Simon Ward, is set to launch Series One on September 1st, 2015 – but the extended Season One trailer is now available to watch.

The show was filmed in May 2014 and the extended time-frame for release is due to the level of complexity in the linked interactive videos which will run in parallel to the main eight episode season.

The show is gritty and innovative, only involving actors in the creative process. All camera set ups are unmanned, fly on the wall (in many cases with actors not being aware of them) while other cameras are worn by performers in the style of the series Peep Show. The actors improvised in “one-take only” scenarios often having no idea who they would perform with. The results are a scathing and hilarious black comedy set in a New Zealand film talent casting agency, where over the course of a day a dysfunctional set of actors all audition for the part of the “Pilot” in an American Production about a zombie infested airplane about to crash into L.A.

SIDES will screen in eight main episodes, released over eight weeks and will have audience interactive episode crossovers called IN_SIDES where viewers can go inside the audition room with the performer and watch from the casting director’s point of view.

The creators will be releasing weekly info and teasers until the season launch. The show will be launched with its own website and negotiations are currently underway as to who will host the series.
